While making Mime Around Town I felt the musical genre was in a bit of a rut. As an experiment I wanted to make a musical centered around a mime, a character that famously does not talk. For inspiration, I looked to the slapstick comedies of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin for a fun and moving performance.
